Daniel Hayes to audition for ABC’s Fall Pilots

TORONTO — Daniel Hayes announced that he is going to be auditioning for some of ABC’s fall pilots.

ABC is planning to pilot 20 new shows in fall 2010. There is more drama, complicated stories, people who find out they have a super hero abilities, unexpected turns of events and of course, only the best characters are to be chosen for the roles.

“Yeah, this fall I will be auditioning for ABC for a couple pilots, shares Daniel Hayes. There will be a couple promising opportunities there for me so I’m trying to better myself as much now before fall”.

According to the actor, he is furthering his training as a MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighter to bring an extra edge to his diversity as an actor. He already has a long list of athletic achievements. He’s been playing basketball since he was 10 and received an athletic scholarship to a university in British Columbia where he also started playing football. He has participated in the 48 hour film challenge where he had to shoot a short movie in 48 hours in order to gain the experience of what it is like to be behind the camera as well so that he can be a better actor in front of the camera.

“The challenges, well first of, you pretty much don’t sleep for 48 hrs. You are given a genre, an object and line that you must incorporate into your film. That happens on the Friday night, you then go back to write the script and start shooting after the script is complete. Shooting location play a big part and is a challenge but if it’s indoor you don’t have to worry about daylight which is a plus. Other challenges include meeting the deadline to shoot everything so you can get it to the editors, and you gotta make sure you shoot enough to give the editors some options. It’s much harder with the deadline looming”.

Daniel Hayes is to audition with the producers of ABC’s fall shows later on this month where his roles in The Police Story, Modern Day Gladiator, The Silver Chain, Finding Larry and Going Down in LaLa Land are preceding him.  More information can be found at http://www.daniel-hayes.com/
