How to lose weight after Christmas
Well I hope you enjoyed your Christmas!!
Many of us have spent the day opening presents, visiting loved ones, and arguably more importantly getting stuck into the traditional Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings. A meal of roast turkey, stuffing, roast potatoes, brussels sprouts, parsnips and cranberry sauce (obviously every family has a variant on the traditional dinner), with a dessert of Christmas Pudding, the typical calorie consumption can be a whopping 6000 calories for this meal and pudding alone!
And that does not even take into account the boxes of chocolates and sweets which do the rounds.
Now, coupled with the resolutions which invariably come just after New Years, many of us may be tempted to go for the quick fix or the easiest shortcut to losing weight (which almost always is bad for your health). What we will do here is just go over a couple of the ways in which you can shed the excess weight put on over Christmas not just for now, but permanently!
- Exercise. One of the simplest things which produces proven results in helping people lose weight. You do not even need to spend money on an expensive gym membership. By exercising in the places around us, whether it be a brisk walk in the park or a run around the streets where you live, we can see effective results by doing something which doesn’t cost a single thing!
- Dieting. Probably the last thing you want to think about just after eating your Christmas dinner is food. By following a sensible weight loss diet plan, you will drop that fat in no time. Some popular weight loss programs which work out your meals for you include Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig and eDiets.
- Target. By giving yourself something to aim for, your motivation will stay at a high level and help you achieve your weight loss goals. It could be to look good for your summer holidays, or an upcoming wedding. Whatever works for you, it helps to maintain your focus on the ultimate goal, to lose fat.
These tips can help you to lose weight for good! You may be tempted to take some weight loss or fat busting pills, and while a few of these can be effective, it is important not to solely rely on them to lose weight.
